Air Wisconsin was founded in 1965 and is one of the largest regional airlines in the Midwest. The airline schedules over 500 departures per day and works in partnership with US Airways and United Airlines. The airline was acquired by United Airlines in 1990 and together pioneered the concept of code sharing agreements, helping it achieve its status as one of the largest regional airlines in the USA. After a brief few years with United, the airline was sold to CJT Holdings, where it was officially renamed Air Wisconsin Airways. Air Wisconsin's largest hubs are at Philadelphi International and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airports, although their headquarters are still located in Greenville, Wisconsin.
