Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) is situated 15 miles south of Akron and about the same distance north of Canton. CAK has one terminal which is open from 4 am until 1 am and deals with approximately 1.5 million passengers per annum. It is served by 5 commercial airlines which fly to cities within the United States of America. Akron airport is one of the most rapidly developing airports in the country and is currently undergoing a runway extension to be completed by 2018 which will make it easier for passengers to reach the west coast, the Caribbean and Mexico.

• Eating & Drinking: Before check-in, J.J.’s Sports Bar, Subway and Buckhead Grill are located in the food court. Once past security Arby’s, Great Lakes Brewing Company and a Java Coast Coffee Kiosk are available.
• ATM: ATMs are located in the northern area of the terminal and in the center of the airport, past the security checkpoint. Bureau de change facilities are also available.
• WiFi: Free WiFi is accessible throughout the terminal. Computers with free Internet access are located by the information desk and next to the Java Coast coffee kiosk after check-in.
• Shopping: There is a gift shop in the Terminal building which is open from 4:15am until 8:00pm.

• Airport Hotels: The Hilton Garden Inn (330-966-5265 ) is less than a mile away from CAK. Cambria Suites (330-899-1990), Holiday Inn Canton (330-494-2770) and Courtyard Canton (330-499-4221) are all about 5 miles away and Quality Inn & Conference Center (330-644-7126) approximately 7 miles. A free, 24 hour shuttle bus provides a service to and from the airport for each of these hotels.
• Disabled Travelers: Disabled parking is available in all lots. All airport shuttles, lifts and toilets are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are provided by all airlines.
• Lounges: The Business Club is situated within the departure area and open to all passengers.
• Parking: Short term parking is the closest option to the terminal and costs $1 per half an hour then $13 for 4 to 24 hours. Long term parking provides a free, 24 hour shuttle bus to the terminal with a daily rate of $9 and weekly of $45. There is also an economy option which, though furthest away, still provides a free shuttle bus. This is the cheapest option with a daily rate of $9 and weekly of $35.
• Directions & Transportation: CAK can be reached by car via Interstate 77 north from Canton or south from Acton and then leaving at Exit 113. The Akron Metro (330 762 0341) serves Akron and the Area Regional Transit Authority (330 454 6132) provides a service to Canton and transportation to the airport. There are also a range of shuttle van services. Taxis can be found at the southern end of the terminal near the baggage claim area or along the sidewalk.
