Alicante Airport (ALC) is the main airport in the Alicante Province and the sixth busiest in Spain. The airport deals with just over 9 million passengers a year, the majority of which come from Germany, Holland and the United Kingdom. The airport is composed of two terminals and a third is due to be completed by 2011 which will almost double the airports passenger capacity. Alicante Airport deals with approximately 30 airlines, the hub of which is Ryanair followed by EasyJet, and major destinations include Barcelona, Madrid and Palma de Mallorca.

• Eating & Drinking: There is a small cafe in Terminal 2. Terminal 1, however, has a range of food outlets and restaurants including Burger King and Cafeteria Recyg as well as a Haagen Dazs and Bill Bentley Pub.
• ATM: There is an ATM machine located in Terminal 1 Departures and a Bureau de change on levels P0 and P1.
• WiFi: Wireless Internet is provided by Telefonica Espana and is available throughout the airport terminal. Different payment options provided when accessing.
• Shopping: There are a number of specialty shops and gift stores in Terminal 1 after check-in, including Warner Bros, News and Books and Gran Bouquet. Aldeasa sells duty free products.
• Luggage: There are trolleys located by the baggage collection points on the ground floor. Lost property is also located on the ground floor or contact the airline.
• Airport Hotels: There are no hotels within the airport. The Areca Hotel Torrellano (96-568-5477) is just over a mile away and the Holiday Inn Elche (96-665-1551) and AS Hotel Elche Express (90-227-3272) are also close by. Others in the vicinity are The Holiday Inn Alicante-Playa de San Juan (96-515-6185) and the five star Sidi San Juan Hotel (96-516-1300).
• Disabled Travelers: There is free assistance for those with disabilities and wheelchair facility access for toilets and elevators. Airlines should be notified before flying.
• Lounges: There is a VIP Lounge located in Terminal 1 after check-in. It is situated opposite Benteys Bar and open from 6am to 11pm. Contact 966-919-149 for reservations.
• Parking: Short term parking is located close to the terminal and costs $2 an hour and $18 per day. Long term parking is also available and located to the right of the terminal.
• Directions & Transportation: To drive from Alicante, take the N-340 or N-332 which borders the coast. The journey is about 6 miles. From Benidorm it is about 60 miles on the A-7. For an alternative to driving, there is a bus which provides transportation to the airport and costs about $4, It runs approximately every 20 minutes and takes about 40 minutes from downtown Alicante. Taxi ranks can be found outside the airport and a ride costs about $25 to Alicante center.
