The huge state of the art Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport (ATH), located just out side Athens in Greece, serves the city of Athens and the surrounding Attica region. The airport is the major hub and base for major Greek airlines Olymipc Air and Aegean Airlines. It has two terminals, the Main Terminal and the Satellite Terminal. Both are accessible by a foot-tunnel. Becoming increasingly popular as a gateway to Asia and the Middle East, the airport serves for than 16 million travelers yearly, most of which are tourists chasing that special Greek sunny and warm weather.

• Eating & Drinking: There is a great range of restaurants and bars, with most located within the Main Terminal. McDonalds and Café Ritazza can be found, while the food village offers seven different areas, each with a different selection of food. There are also coffee houses offering hot drinks and sandwiches in the Arrivals area.
• ATM: In the Main Terminal you will find banks, bureaux de changes, automatic exchange machines and ATMs. Two banks are found at the airport, the Commercial Bank and the Alpha Bank. Both provide a number of ATM's throughout the airport.
• WiFi: WiFi can be found within the airport’s terminal areas. It's available for free for 45 minutes.
• Shopping: There is a great range of restaurants and bars, with most located within the Main Terminal. • Airport Hotels: The main airport hotel is the Sofitel Athens Airport Hotel (0210) 354 4000), located next to the Terminals. Other hotels are available on the coast and in the city.
• Disabled Travelers: Athens Airport is fully equipped for Disabled travelers with easily accessible text telephones, disabled toilets, adapted walkways and lifts for the visually-impaired travelers. There are also dedicated check-in counters, rest areas, lifts, Braille signage, tactile flooring, and an alarm system to alert the visually and hearing-impaired passengers in case of an emergency. Electric cars are available to transport disabled passengers between the two terminals and there are around 90 disabled car parking spaces at the airport.
• Lounges: Eight Business Lounges operate at the Departures Level of AIA all with major airlines including British Airways – Terraces, Olympic Handling 'Aristotelis Onassis', Swissport Executive Lounge, Aegean Airlines – Club, Goldair Handling, Lufthansa – Senator and Olympic Handling 'Melina Merkouri'.

• Directions & Transportation: Driving to the airport take the Attiki Odos, the Athens ring road. For those travelling by public transport, the airport is linked to Athens Central Railway Station (Larissis) and the port of Piraeus by the Suburban Rail system. There are also several bus routes that connect the airport with Athens and Piraeus. These run daily around the clock. Taxis can be found outside the Arrivals level of the Main Terminal Building.
