Augsburg Airways is a regional airline in Germany. The airline has operated domestic and international service on behalf of Lufthansa since 2003. In cooperation with Lufthansa, Augsburg Airways operates 25 flight routes. The airline was originally founded in 1989 by the Haindl Group. Six years later, regular scheduled flights were established between Duesseldorf and Augsburg. Augsburg Airways' new hub is located at Munich International Airport. Augsburg Airways operates mainly flights in Europe, with focus on domestic German flights. In 2007, the airline provided service to over 800,000 passengers. As a subsidiary of Lufthansa, Augsburg Airways offers passengers the opportunity to earn frequent fly miles with the Miles&More program. The airline prides itself on its excellent in-flight service, coupled with fair prices.
