The Bukarest-Otopeni International Airport (OPT), formally the Henri Coandă International Airport, was renamed in 2004 but is still referred to by its former name. The airport was originally named after the Romanian flight pioneer Henri Coandă, who was the builder of the world's first ever jet powered aircraft. It is one of two airports serving Bucharest, the Romanian capital city. The airport serves many European and Middle-Eastern airlines including Air France, British Airlines, Lufthansa, TAROM and Turkish Airlines, with direct flights connecting to many major European and Middle-Eastern cities.

• Eating & Drinking: There are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants located in both the Arrivals and Departures Terminals and the Passageway. As well as coffee and softdrink machines.
• ATM: ATMs can be found throughout both the Arrivals and Departures Terminals. There is also a Romanian Bank for Development BRD - Groupe Societe Generale located in the Passageway. For money exchange, exchange facilities can be found in both the Arrivals and Departures Terminals and in the Passageway.
• WiFi: There is an Internet Kiosk offering pay-as-you-use internet access in the Departures Terminal in the boarding hall.
• Shopping: There are a number of shops located in the Boarding hall of the Departures Terminal including a Bookstore with English Books, a fragrance and cosmetic shop and fashion and leather shops. All have prices in Euros.
• Luggage: Baggage wrapping services area available in the Departures Terminal in the Check-in area for 20 lei per bag.
• Airport Hotels: There are no on-site hotels. However, plenty of hotels can be found in downtown Bucharest.
• Disabled Travelers: The airport is fully equiped for disabled persons. Access doors to the terminals are automatic, elevators are wheelchair friendy, disabled toilets are located throughout as well as adequate height public phone and disabled parking.
• Parking: There are separate parking lots for both the Arrivals and Departures Terminals. Both charge 3 lei per 30 minutes.
• Directions & Transportation: The airport can be reached from Bucharest and the surrounding area via the National Road DN 1. For those requiring public transport, the 783 Express. line runs between the airport and Bukarest's city-center. The bus stop is located in front of both the arrivals and departures terminals. Taxis can be found in the taxi rank outside the arrivals terminal.
