Budapest Ferihegy International Airport (BUD) is situated southeast of Budapest and is the biggest airport in Hungary. Budapest International Airport serves around 9 million passengers a year with the majority of flights within Europe. The name of the airport comes from the original landowner on which the airport was built. The airport is composed of three main terminals and a fourth which deals with general aviation services. Terminal 2 has an open-air viewing platform from which to observe the airplanes and, close by, there is an open-air museum for aircraft. The majority of flights are dealt with by Malev for which Terminal 2A is a major hub.

• Eating & Drinking: There are a variety of restaurants and cafes. In Terminal 1 there is a Caffe Brio and the Airport Bistro. Terminal 2 has a wider choice including Bill Bentley’s and Café Flo.
• ATM: ATMs are available throughout Budapest Ferihegy Airport. A Bureau de change is also available within the terminal.
• WiFi: Wireless, free through Pannon and charged through T-Mobile, is available in Terminal 1, 2A and 2B. The Internet is available for Business class passengers in the Cirrus Lounge, Terminal 2B and business centers.
• Shopping: There are a few shopping options available including duty-free and newsagents in both terminals. The main shop names comprise of Fila Sport Shop, Travel Value and Hugo Boss.

• Airport Hotels: Hotel Stacio is located at the airport (1-293-5053). There is a shuttle bus available to Hotel Stadion (1-889-5200) and Hotel Mercure Museum (1-485-1080). Ibis Aero (1-347-9715) is situated about 7 miles from the airport and Ceu Residence and Conference Center (1-321-7926) is approximately a 45 minute drive from the airport. • Disabled Travelers: Disabled facilities include toilets and wheelchairs. Help is available for boarding and disembarking aircraft. Passengers should contact their airline prior to flying.
• Lounges: Platinum Lounges are available for non-Schengen passengers in Terminal 2A and Schengen passengers in Terminal 2B. Both provide a maximum stay of 3 hours and are open 5am to 8pm. The Cirrus Lounge is for Business Class passengers and located in Terminal 2B.
• Parking: Short-term parking for an hour is situated outside Terminals 2A and 2B and costs about 70¢ for every 15 minutes. Long-term parking is located further from the airport and costs $1.40 per hour. From June to October longer-term is available and costs $18 for the first day, $36 for a maximum of four days, $45.50 for up to 15 days and then $2 for additional days. • Directions & Transportation: To travel by car from Budapest, drivers can take route E60 - the journey takes approximately 20 minutes. The bus number 200 departs regularly to the subway and Köbánya-Kispest train station. The 93 leaves every 30 minutes from Terminal 1, also to the train station. Both charge about 85¢. A shuttle bus company, Wizz Air, provides transportation to the airport from Budapest. Regular rail services operate between Terminal 1 and Budapest. Taxi ranks are outside the arrival area of Terminals 2A and 2B and charge about $25 to central Budapest.
