Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) is located south of Cedar Rapids and deals with approximately one million passengers a year. Over the last years Eastern Iowa Airport has expanded from serving not only the Cedar Rapids area but also north Iowa and west Illinois. Eastern Iowa Airport uses four main airlines: Allegiant Air, American Eagle, Delta and United Airlines. The airport is composed of one terminal and 14 gates. All flight destinations are within the United States of America and include Chicago, Denver and Detroit. Eastern Iowa Airport is situated just off the Wright Brothers Boulevard, named after the American siblings who are famed for constructing the first working airplane.

• ATM: An ATM can be found in the main terminal within the waiting area by the restaurant.

• Shopping: A news and gift shop is located on the ground level and is open from 8am to 7pm. It sells newspapers, magazines, souvenirs and snacks.

• Airport Hotels: There are no hotels in the airport. Hotels in the vicinity include Country Inn and Suites By Carlson (319-363-3789) and AmericInn Cedar Rapids (319-632-1800) which are around 1 to 2 miles from Eastern Iowa Airport. The newly renovated Super 8 Cedar Rapids (319-363-1755), Econo Lodge Cedar Rapids (319-363-8888) and Howard Johnson Inn Cedar Rapids (319-366-2475) are approximately 4.5 miles away.
• Disabled Travelers: Facilities include toilets and wheelchair ramps. Passengers should contact their airline prior to flying.
• Parking: Short-term parking is located opposite the terminal. The first 20 minutes are free, then $2.25 for the first hour followed by $1.50 for each extra hour with a daily maximum of $7. Long-term parking is based behind the terminal and consists of two joined lots. Again, the first 20 minutes are free then each additional 30 minutes are $1.25 with a maximum of $5 a day. Parking can be paid for by either credit or debit cards.
• Directions & Transportation: By car, Eastern Iowa Airport can be reached by either Interstate Highway 80 or 380. The public bus does not travel as far as the airport. Shuttle buses provide transportation to the airport from destinations within the Cedar Rapids area. Taxi ranks are located outside the airport. Prices to the nearby hotels are approximately $40 to $50.
