Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) is situated northwest of Chicago in Illinois and spreads out of Cook County into DuPage County. Chicago O’Hare International Airport serves as a hub for American Airlines and as a first and larger hub for United Airlines. It is composed of four passenger terminals and seven runways and deals with domestic and international flights to over 60 destinations outside of the United States of America. O’Hare is also the fourth busiest gateway into the country. It serves approximately 65 million passengers per annum and is the world’s fourth busiest airport.

• Eating & Drinking: There are a wide selection of cafes, restaurants and bars throughout the terminals. These include big names such as Dunkin' Donuts, Goose Island Brewing Company, Quiznos, Starbuck's Coffee and McDonald's.
• ATM: ATMs are available in every terminal. Bureau de change is situated in the International Terminal on the lower level and open 8am to 8pm every day (773-462-9973).
• WiFi: Wireless Internet is available in Terminal 1, 2, 3 and 5 and costs $6.95 for 24 hours or $9.95 per month. Power stations are located in Terminal 1 and 3.
• Shopping: There is a wide selection including Hudson News and Gift, Sunglass Hut and Harley-Davidson. Duty Free is also available: Liberty Duty Free in Terminals 1 to 3 and Chicago Duty Free in 5.
• Luggage: Carts are in the domestic terminals for $2 and the international terminal for free. Baggage claim is in the lower level of every terminal. For lost luggage contact the airline or police (773-686-2385).
• Airport Hotels: The Hilton Chicago O'Hare Airport Hotel (773-686-8000) is situated within the airport in Terminal 2 and in walking distance to all of the domestic terminals. The Hampton Inn Hotel (847-671-1700) in Chicago-O'Hare International Airport is only a mile and Chicago Marriott O'Hare (773-693-4444) is 3 miles away and the InterContinental Chicago Hotel (847-544-5300) and The Doubletree Hotel Chicago O'Hare Airport-Rosemont (847-292-9100) are both 5 minutes away from the airport.

• Lounges: There are fourteen lounges available. These include the United Red Carpet Club in Terminal 1 and the Air France and Swiss Lounges in Terminal 5. Each offers its own range of facilities and benefits. Contact the airport for detailed information on each.
• Parking: For all parking the first 10 minutes are free, then $2 for an hour or less. For short-term parking this increases to $32 for 6 hours and $51 for 9 to 24 hours. For long-term it is $14 for up to 6 hours and $31 for 11 to 24 hours. Lot D is International and charges $14 for up to 6 hours and finally $51 for 9 to 24 hours. There also options for Economy and Valet parking.
• Directions & Transportation: By road, drivers should take the I-90 west to I-190. By rail, the Blue Line of the subway provides transportation to the airport. The Metra North Central Service has a stop at O’Hare Transfer station from where passengers take a shuttle bus. Shuttle buses can be located on level 1 of the airport. Taxi ranks are outside all terminals and run on meters. The fare is around $35 to $40 to central Chicago.
