Saddle up your horse and lose yourself amongst cavernous gorges and cliff sides in the Rocky Mountains returning again to roam along the vast expanse of the Colorado Plateau and the Great Plains. Colorado is a breathtaking state full of outdoor wonder. It is nicknamed the Centennial State for being admitted to the union in 1876 in the centennial year and is one of the Four Corner states. Situated in Mid-east United States, Colorado is bordered by Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Utah. With no natural boarders, Colorado's boarders are defined by lines of longitude and latitude making it a quadrangle in shape. Not exactly an economic epicenter, instead, Colorado is famous for its astounding array of mountains, mesas, canyons, prairies and plains. Much of the state is considered cattle country and for a true ranch experience, they don't come much better. Other activities include hiking to mountain biking, fishing in clear streams, white water rafting and photographing native wildlife.

With the Rocky Mountains and high plains and plateaus, Colorado has the highest average elevation of any United States state. Perhaps one of the most distinguishing features of Colorado is Mount Elbert in the Lake Country rising a massive 14,440 feet and making it the highest point in all the Rocky Mountain Range. Only one third of Colorado is undulating plains, or prairies, with sparse patches of deciduous forests. Most of this area, east of the Rocky Mountains are covered in Ranches and farmland with a quaint farming villages and towns littered among them. The plains also enjoy the most pleasant weather compared to the wild Rocky Mountains with hot, humid summers and cold snowy winters.
