The largest airport in the state is Bradley International, making it the most convenient to arrive in, though there are many other options including Tweed New Haven Regional Airport and Waterbury-Oxford Airport. The state has many different arboretums and parks, which nature and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy. Dinosaur State Park and Arboretum is a perfect combination for plenty of interests. Connecticut is also home to several fortifications, including Fort Trumbull. The state boasts a plethora of lighthouses along the coast, including Avery Point, Falkner Island, and Stratford Point. Families will enjoy the amusement parks Quassy and Lake Compounce, which is the oldest amusement park in the country. There are also two aquariums in the state, Maritime Aquarium and Mystic Aquarium. Connecticut is met to the south and west by New York, the state with the largest US city, New York City. The state of New York also offers some scenic rural countryside outside of the urban areas. Massachusetts borders Connecticut to the north, and Boston is another great city to visit for vibrant nightlife and historical landmarks.
