Delaware is cut into two by the C&D canal, and is separated into a northern industrialized sector and a southern rural sector. The quickest way to reach the state is via Philadelphia International Airport, which is the largest, and therefore primary commercial airport for visitors to Delaware. The state offers some great parks, many of which are free for visitors. Outdoor enthusiasts will also enjoy the amazing beaches in Delaware, such as Lewes Beach, known as a historical site, and Bethany Beach which is popular among families. If gaming is more your interest, the Delaware Park Racetrack and Casino offers some exciting opportunities. Shoppers love Delaware since there is no state tax, and Dover Mall and Christiana Mall are two popular stops for gifts and other purchases. The Delaware Art Museum is a great destination for art enthusiasts, and the Sports Museum & Hall of Fame is another great museum. Delaware has a great mix of excitement and small-town feel, making it perfect for visitors of all ages.

To the north of Delaware, New Jersey offers more gaming fun with Atlantic City. New Jersey also holds some very beautiful landscape and parks. Pennsylvania is filled with US history dating back to the Revolutionary War era and before, and Philadelphia is a great place to visit for some bustling nightlife. Maryland borders Delaware to the west and south, and provides the chance to see a scenic and diverse landscape, from majestic mountains to sandy beaches.
