Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) is the main airport serving the Indonesian island of Bali. It has two terminals, one for national and one for international flights, both of which are served by numerous airlines. This modern and well facilitated airport is named after an Indonesian national hero, I Gusti Ngurah Rai, a Lieutenant Colonel who died in the Indonesian War of Independence.

• Location: The airport is located just south of Kuta and 8 miles from Bali’s largest city, Denpasar. The cities of Djimbaran and Boealoe are also nearby.

• Eating & Drinking: There are numerous restaurants and cafés to be found in both terminals. These include plenty of well-known fast food outlets, as well as a variety of snack bars and specialist food stores serving herbs, cakes and chocolate
• ATM: There is a selection of 24hr bureau de changes as well as several ATMs to be found on site
• Shopping: There is a selection of duty free stores as well as many souvenir shops for flyers to browse. There are book, clothes, jewelry and gift stores to choose from, including brand name outlets such as Burberry.
• Luggage: The left luggage room can be found outside of the airport itself, between International Arrivals and Departures. Prices vary between 10,000 and 15,000 Rupiah per item of luggage per day.
• Airport Hotels: Rooms in nearby hotels can be booked at the hotel reservations desks onsite.
• Parking: The 55,000 square meter airport parking consists of space for 89 buses, 153 taxis, 961 private four-wheeled vehicles and 711 motorcycles.
• Directions & Transportation: There are many choices for transportation to and from the airport. Groups can travel for a reasonable price with a shuttle bus. Renting a small jeep is another popular and price worthy method of transport which can also be arranged at the airport itself. The taxis situated just outside the terminals have set rates to the most popular nearby destinations, and will take you to the cities of Kuta, Tuban, Legian or Seminyak for around 20,000–35,000 Rupiah. Metered taxis are cheaper, but quite a walk away from the airport terminals.
