Dubai International Airport (DXB) is the main international airport serving Dubai. Dubai Airport served over 40 million passengers in 2009, and its success as an international airport seems to just keep growing – it is therefore no surprise that it now boasts three terminals. • Eating & Drinking: The Food Court is located between Gates 113 and 115 on the Departures Level. You can have a coffee at Starbucks, munch on some pub food or grab a quick burger – with over 25 cafés and restaurants, the choice is yours.
• ATM: Currency exchanges are open 24 hours a day and are located by Gates 8, 18 and 22, as well as in the Arrivals Hall. There is also a number of ATMs onsite.
• Shopping: The Dubai Duty Free shopping area is colossal, with 5,400 square meters of shopping options including books, electronics, designer clothes, cosmetics, jewelry and liquor. This concourse is also home to many airport facilities.
• Airport Hotels: The five-star Dubai International Hotel is located on the third level of the Sheikh Rashid Terminal, looking out onto the runway and the grand shopping concourse. Guests can choose from deluxe rooms, junior and royal suites that are all furnished with mini bars, televisions, lavish bathrooms and a safe. Rooms are available to rent by the hour. Other hotels can be booked at hotel desks at the Central Reservations center in the Arrivals Hall.
• Disabled Travelers: Desks for special needs passengers are located between Rows A and B of the Departures Hall. Electronic carts are also available for transporting passengers to and from the concourse.
• Lounges: Some of the many lounges in Dubai Airport include the Dubai International First Class Lounge, the Business Class Lounge (open to all customers regardless of their class of travel), Quiet Lounges and specific airline lounges for Air France, Emirates, British Airways, Gulf Air, KLM and Star Alliance customers.
• Parking: Numerous car parks, including Normal and Gold Car Parks, provide short and long term parking at a range of prices.
• Directions & Transportation: Numerous car rental companies, including Herz, Sixt and Europcar, all have desks at the arrival building. The city bus service stops outside each terminal, and metered taxis are also available 24 hours a day outside every terminal. Dubai International Airport Buses are another option of transport to and from the airport, providing comfortable buses which travel the most popular routes in the city center.
