Dubrovnik Airport (DVB) might seem small, but it is bound to expand in the near future. The airport served over 1 million passengers in 2009, and it is expected to increase its annual handling capacity to over 2 million passengers per year within the next three years. The airport’s most fascinating feature lies underground – Dubrovnik airport boasts the rather unusual attraction of a spectacular 200 meter long cave, a natural phenomenon which has also been the site of some interesting archeological finds.

• Parking: The parking lot at Dubrovnik Airport has 200 places. Both cash and credit cards are accepted as forms of payment, and parking for under 15 minutes is free of charge. A lost ticket will cost you 300 Kuna (about $50).
• Directions & Transportation: For a smaller operation, transportation to and from the airport is relatively straight forward. The Atlas Bus runs a service to Dubrovnik city on the arrival of every scheduled flight, for the price of only 35 Kuna (about $6). There is also a public bus service, run by a company called Libertas. Taxis are available during the opening hours of the airport (04.00 – 21.00 UTC).
