The Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) is a state-owned public use airport. Known as the Gateway to Alaska's Interior, this small commercial hub serves mostly cargo airlines that distribute goods and services to remote areas of north Alaska. The airport serves Alaska Airlines and several other regional airlines with daily direct flights to other urban areas of Alaska and the US and with connections around the world. The airport also serves a few international airlines such as Condor and Japanese Airlines with flights to Frankfurt, Germany and various cities in Japan.

• Eating & Drinking: There are two restaurants within the Airport. At the Jazzman's Cafe one can obtain fresh blended espressos, smoothies and a wide choice of freshly baked pastries, salads and sandwiches. At The Bush Pilot Lounge, one can choose from a variety of sandwiches, salads and snacks like pizza and spicy wings. There is also a full-serviced bar for any desired beverage.
• ATM: There is an ATM machine located outside the Twigs Gift Shop.
• Shopping: For all your last minute gifts, visit the Twigs Alaskan Gifts shop. Featuring Alaskan-made handicrafts, jewelry, clothing, books, magazines, snacks, and other travel necessities. The store is located on the upper level of the Terminal and available to all ticketed passengers from 5am till 1am daily.
• Luggage: Any items that are lost near the ticket counters or on the airplane, it's best to contact your airline. Other items lost within the airport, contact the front desk.
• Airport Hotels: There is no airport hotel, but there is a variety of accommodation to be found in nearby Fairbanks and its surrounding area.
• Disabled Travelers: Fairbanks airport offers handicapped park spaces in the short-term parking lot.
• Lounges: There is a Military Lounge called the Armed Services YMCA Military Lounge which is located on in the Terminal's lower level, near the baggage belt. It is open daily from noon to midnight and accessible only to Military personal.
• Parking: The main public parking area is conveniently located right outside the terminal building. Daily parking rates are $2 per hour. Long-term parking costs $9.50 per day and $57 per week. In the short-term parking you'll pay $1.50 per hour and $10 per day. Parking for disabled persons is also available in the short-term parking lot.
• Directions & Transportation: From Fairbanks, take the Airport Way on Highway 3 and follow it straight to the airport. Fairbanks Airport also offers a Shuttle that will pick-up and drop-off in the Fairbanks area for a more economic price than a Taxi. Most hotels in the region also offer a complimentary shuttle service. There are also Taxis and Rental cars available that offer transportation to the airport.
