Located just outside Faro, Portugal, the airport is a gateway for tourists holidaying in the Algarve. In recent years, the airport has served over five million passengers, making it the second most busiest International gateway after Lisbon and the Iberian Peninsula's sixth most important airport.

• Eating & Drinking: In the main departure hall there is a cafe and a bar and in the arrivals hall there is also a cafe selling coffee, tea and snacks. There are aslo other cafes and bars throughout the airport and a Restaurant Zona Pública in the public area and a Self Service Internacional, Restaurant Internacional and FoodCourt Restaurant in the departures area. All cafes and restaurants open daily from 07:00:23:00.
• ATM: For visitors, there are ATMs located throughout the airport in the public departures and arrivals area as well as the restricted areas. A Banco Totta e Açores is also available which is located in the public area and open from 08:00-15:30 daily. For currency exchange, a CotaCurrency Exchange is located in the public area and open from 07:00-23:00 daily.
• WiFi: There are signposted internet access points located throughout the airport.
• Shopping: Throughout the main departures lounge there are shops selling perfumes, cigarettes and other Duty Free items. Other shops include Football Corner, I Santi Portugal, Sunglasses Hut and Lune Bleu fashion and accessory outlets. The shops are open daily from 07:00-23:00.
• Luggage: A lost and found facility can be found near the meeting point in the arrivals area.
• Airport Hotels: There are no airport hotels available. The closest hotel is Hotel Ibis Faro which is located only two miles from the airport. For information about other hotels and accommodation, inquire at the information desk.
• Disabled Travelers: The airport provides facilities for disabled passengers such as disabled parking, lifts and disabled toilets. For those requiring a wheelchair or assistance, inform your airline at the time of booking.
• Lounges: There is a CIP Lounge (0289) 800 787) located within the airport. Passengers wishing to use the lounge should ask at the information desk.
• Parking: There are three main parking spaces available at the Faro Airport. Two short-term spaces for drop-offs and pick-ups and one long-term. All are located within walking distance of the airport. The short-term departure car park, located near departures in P1, costs €1.10 per hour, €1.40 for two hours and €12 for a day. The short-term arrivals park located near arrivals in P3 costs €1.40 for one hour, €1.65 for two hours and €14 per day. The long-term parking lot located in P2 costs €55 for one week and €95 for a month.
• Directions & Transportation: Getting to the airport from Faro, take the route EN125 and follow the signs. If taking public transportation, EVA Buses run regularly from the terminal building to various locations in Faro. The bus timetable and meeting point is posted near the information desk. Taxis are also available outside the terminal building near the Arrivals area. There are also a number of well known car hire companies available such as Avis, Europcar and Hertz.
