The Geneva International Airport (GVA), located just outside of Geneva on the Swiss-French border serves both Swiss and French passengers. The airport is accessible via both countries, with French flights or passengers not having to go through Swiss custons or immigration controls. This unique agreement makes Geneva a major air hub in the European Union, even though Switzerland is not part of the EU. The airport is a major hub for EasyJet, Flyaboo and a lesser hub for Swiss International Air Lines. • Eating & Drinking: There is a wide range of cafes, bars and restaurants available at the airport with choices ranging from fast-food such as Burger King to fine dining with seafood, French or Italian Cuisine or Swiss cheese and bread.
• ATM: There are Banks including an American Express, Banque Cantonale de Genève, Raiffeisen and an UBS. As well as money exchanges and ATM's available through-out the airport in both sectors.
• WiFi: WiFi Internet is available in all the public areas of the airport. There is also an Internet Cafe located in the nearby railway station.
• Shopping: A wide range of shopping is available at the airport from Duty-free to food, chocolates and sweets, fashion and accessories, watches and jewelry, perfumes, books and gifts and electronics equipment.
• Luggage: Baggage carts are available throughout the airport with a deposit of either a 2 Swiss francs or 2 Euros coin. A porter service is also available as well as a lost property office on the public concourse and at the railway station and left-luggage facilities and lockers also at the nearby railway station.

Other nearby hotels with a free shuttle bus services include the Crowne Plaza, the Express by Holiday Inn, the InterContinental Geneva and the Ramada Park Hotel. Hotel reservations can be made in the Arrivals Lounge.

In the long-term parking lots, covered or partially covered, expect to pay € 1.30 per hour and around € 20 per day.
• Directions & Transportation: The airport's Swiss and French sectors are accessible from both nations. The Swiss sector is accessible from the N1 airport motorway. Driving from France to the Swiss sector, take the A40 motorway to the French-Swiss boarder and then the N1. For those wishing to avoid the Swiss territory and use only the French sector, take the D-984 to Ferney-Voltaire near Collonges and then follow the signs to Geneva. Just before the French-Swiss boarder, take the road on the right to the airport's French sector. For those requiring public transport, the Geneva railway station is 300m away from both the Departures and Arrivals floors with all trains stopping at central Geneva-Cornavin in Geneva's center. From the airport, one can also catch direct trains to all over Switzerland and Europe. Buses are also available with local buses running into central Geneva, Tours de Carouge and Fret. Other buses connect to various regional French towns, Ski resorts and other international destinations in Spain, Portugal and Eastern Europe. Taxis are available at the airport with separate French and Swiss services as well as many hire car companies.
