Hamburg International Airport (HAM) is located north of Hamburg city and serves the Hamburg region. Hamburg International Airport consists of two terminals, connected by the Plaza building. The airport consists of four main terminals: Terminal 1 deals with domestic and European cities, Terminals 2 and 3 with domestic and international destinations and long-haul flights are from Terminal 4. Hamburg International Airport deals with approximately 12 million passengers a year and is the fourth busiest airport in German. The main airlines are Air Berlin, Condor and Hamburg International and flights are available worldwide to over 70 different destinations.

• Eating & Drinking: There is a large variety of shops in Hamburg Airport. Pre-security check there is Alredo Bar, Movenpick Restaurant, Restaurant Oliva and Bar and Sashimi Sushi Bar. Post-security are found Marche Bakery, Snackbar Lacino and Cindy’s Diner.
• ATM: ATMs can be found in the Airport Plaza and in both of the terminals. Bureau de change can also be found in Terminal 1 and 2.
• WiFi: Avanticom supplies wireless Internet to Hamburg International Airport which is accessible in arrival and waiting areas, the lounges and the Pier. There is also an Internet Café in Terminal 2 which is open from 4am to 12am.
• Shopping: Pre-security shops, open from around 9am to 9pm, include Espirit, Timberland and Airport Pharmacy. Post-security shops, open from around 6am to 9pm, include Hugo Boss, Tie Rack and Heinemann Duty Free.
• Luggage: Baggage claim is on the arrival level. Trolleys can be used for a deposit and are located throughout the airport. For lost property contact the Airport Office or 040-5075-1010.
• Airport Hotels: The closest hotels to the airport are the Courtyard Hamburg Airport (040-531-020) and the Mercure Hamburg Airport (040-532-090). Other hotels within the vicinity are The Best Western Premier Alsterkrug Hotel (040-513-030), Leonardo Airport Hotel Hamburg (040-500-2220) and Hotel Ibis Hamburg Airport (040-219-890). • Disabled Travelers: Facilities include elevators, parking spaces and wheelchairs on request. Passengers should contact their airline before flying.
• Lounges: The Airport Lounge is in the Airport Plaza on level 3 and open from 5.30am to 9pm. The Emirates Lounge is in the Airport Plaza and open from 11.45am to 2.30pm and the Lufthansa Lounge is located in Terminal 2 on the Mezzanine Level.
• Parking: Short-term parking is in P1, P2, P4 and P5. All cost $4 an hour then the charge is $23.50 daily for P1 and P2 and $27 for P4 and P5. Long-term parking is in P1, P2, P8 and P9. Costs in P1 and P2 are $4 per hour with a maximum of 23.50 per day and $99 for a week. P8 costs $2.50 an hour, $12 per day and $64 for a week. P9 charges $2.50 an hour, $15 per day and $77 for a week.
• Directions & Transportation: By car the airport is located on the B433 between the ring roads R2 and R3. Buses run from Terminals 1 and 4 to Hamburg and other cities in the region. Contact 0401-9449 for more information. Rail users can use the S-Bahn train link which provides transportation to the airport and takes about 25 minutes from Hamburg center. Taxi ranks are located outside the terminals.
