Rio Grande Valley International Airport (HRL) is situated northeast of Harlingen in Texas. The airport serves the Rio Grande Valley region. Rio Grande Valley International Airport is the second busiest airport in the Valley and deals with approximately one million passengers per annum. It is composed of one terminal and three runways. • Parking: Short-term parking costs $1 for each 20 minutes with a daily maximum fee of $7. Long-term parking is free for the first half an hour then $1.50 per hour with a daily maximum of $5. Monthly parking is also available at $50 or annually at $500.
• Directions & Transportation: When driving from McAllen take 83 east or from Brownsville take 77/83 north then turn off at Ed Carey. There is no bus service to provide transportation to the airport. However, taxis are available 24 hours a day and can be found by the baggage claim area at the northern end of the terminal.
