Harrisburg is situated south east of Pennsylvania, on the east bank of the Susquehanna River. The city offers a blend of historic and modern cultures typical of the state. Harrisburg International Airport is south east of the city and provides both domestic and international flights. With its Basilica styled dome and Paris Opera inspired staircase, the State Capitol Building provides tourists with a prime example of this fusion of eras.
