Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) is a major airport within Asia and located near Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. It serves the Sepang district and is a main hub for Southeast Asia. Kuala Lumpur International Airport deals with over 27 million passengers per annum and is one of the world's busiest airports. The Passenger Terminal Complex consists of the main terminal, which copes mainly with domestic destinations, the Satellite Building, which deals mainly with international flights, and the Contact Pier. The airport is noted for its green theme, ‘Airport in the forest, forest in the airport’, which is apparent in the Satellite Building where there is a section of rainforest.

• Eating & Drinking: Food outlets are spread throughout the main terminal, the Contact Pier and the Satellite building. They include Burger King, KFC, McDonald’s, 1901 Hot Dog, Starbucks Coffee and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
• ATM: ATMs and Bureau de change can be found in both the Terminal Building and the Satellite Building.
• WiFi: A free wireless connection is available in Contact Pier, the Satellite Building and in the arrival and departure areas of KUL.
• Shopping: Shops are predominantly in the main terminal and Satellite Building but some are in the Contact Pier. Names include Tie Rack, The Body Shop, Lacoste, Versace and The Flying Emporium.

• Airport Hotels: There is a hotel in the Satellite Building adjacent to Gate C5 called Airside Transit Hotel (03-8787-4848). The Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpar International Airport Hotel (03-8787-3333) is next to the main terminal and linked by a sky bridge. There is also a free shuttle bus to and from KUL. Other hotels in close proximity to the airport include Equatorial Hotel Bangi (03-8210-2222), Palm Garden (03-8943-2233) and the Concorde Inn Hotel (03-8783-3118).
• Disabled Travelers: Facilities include ramps, elevators, toilets, telephones, and wheelchairs on request. Passengers should contact their airline in advance of flying.
• Lounges: The lounges are on the mezzanine level in the Satellite Building. MAS Golden Lounge is for Malaysia Airlines passengers, Royal Orchid Lounge for Thai Airways, Silver Kriss Lounge for Singapore Airlines, Dynasty Lounge for China Airlines and the Cathay Pacific and Emirates Lounges for their respective passengers.
• Parking: Short-term parking is charged at $1.10 for the first hour followed by 90¢ for the second, 77¢ for the third and 62¢ for subsequent hours. The daily maximum is about $13.30. For long-term parking the charge is 77¢ per hour with a daily maximum for $11. 30. The lots are connected to the main terminal building by tunnels. Drivers can pay manually or at pay stations.
• Directions & Transportation: By car take ELITE, the North-South Link Expressway or the Nilai interchange. The journey takes about an hour. Numerous bus services provide transportation to the airport. There is also an Airport Coach which costs $3.10 one way for an adult to the city center and takes an hour. By train, the Kia Express takes 28 minutes to reach the city center. There are four types of taxi and are outside the arrival halls and baggage claim. It runs from 5am to 1am and costs $10.85 one way.
