Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) is situated east on Gran Canaria Island Within Spain it is recognized as being the fifth busiest airport. Annually, it handles nearly 10 million passengers. Gran Canaria Airport is composed of two terminals over three levels: terminal A deals with domestic and European flights and terminal B/C with interisland destinations. Popular airlines include Ryanair, Thomson Airways and Air Berlin and the airport acts as hub for Binter Canaries Airlines.

• Eating & Drinking: Located in both arrivals and departures are cafes, fast food outlets and bars. Pre-security in zone A there is a delicatessen open 24 hours a day.
• ATM: On the ground floor in arrivals there is a bank and a Bureau de change. On the first floor in departures there are ATMs and a Bureau de change.
• Shopping: All shops are located in the departures area. They include a florist, jewelers, El Corte Ingles and Duty Free.
• Luggage: Each zone contains a baggage claim. For lost property there are offices on the second level in zones B to C or call 928-579-130.
• Airport Hotels: There is no hotel on site. However, there are a number within close proximity to Gran Canaria Airport. These include Hotel Vecindario Aeropuerto Gran Hotel (902-172-182), Tryp Iberia (902-879-480), Fataga Hotel Concorde (902-907-566), AC Gran Canaria (902-907-566) and Reina Isabel (902-260-100). Reservations can be made in arrivals.
• Disabled Travelers: Facilities include lifts, ramps and car spaces. Passengers should contact their airline prior to flying for extra assistance.
• Lounges: There is Galdos VIP Lounge on the second level in zone A.
• Parking: Both short-term and long-term parking is provided opposite the terminal of LPA. The first half an hour is free then the charge is about $2 a minute for up to the next hour. The daily maximum is $13 for the following 4 days then $10.50 per day. Payment machines are located on the upper and lower floors and there are separate ones for cash and credit card payments.
• Directions & Transportation: By car the airport can be reached by using the motorway GC1. Bus services run from zones A and C by arrivals. Number 5 and number 66 go to Faro de Maspalomas and number 60 goes to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Taxis provide transportation to the airport and ranks are located near arrivals. They charge approximately $29 to $33 for a ride to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
