McCarran International Airport Las Vegas (LAS) is situated south of Las Vegas and deals with over 44 million passengers per year. It serves Las Vegas and Clark County and is the fifteenth busiest airport for passenger traffic in the world. McCarran International Airport Las Vegas is a hub for Southwest Airlines, Allegiant Air and WestJet, which is the major airline for international flights. The airport is composed of two passenger terminals: Terminal 1 deals with the majority of flights and Terminal 2 with international destinations. McCarran International Airport Las Vegas was named after Pat McCarran, the former Senator of Nevada. It is renowned for the large number of slot machines throughout the terminals.

• Eating & Drinking: There are a large number and variety of food outlets throughout the airport. Names include Blue Burrito Grille, Burger King, California Pizza Kitchen, Frankly Gourmet, Pizza Hut, Subway and Sbarro Fresh Italian Cooking.
• ATM: ATMs are located in the Esplanage, gates C and D and Terminal 2. Bureau de change are by the baggage claim and Terminal 2.
• WiFi: Free wireless is accessible throughout LAS.
• Shopping: There is a wide choice of shopping opportunities including Borders, Hudson Booksellers, New York New York Gift Shop and The Body Shop. Tax Free Duty Free is by gates A and D.

• Airport Hotels: There are no hotels on site however there are a number in close proximity to the airport, mainly on or near the Las Vegas Strip. These include Planet Hollywood Resort (702-785-5555), Flamingo Hilton (702-697-2900), Mandalay Bay (702-632-7777) and Marriott Suites (702-650-2000). MGM Grand (702-891-7777) offers a shuttle bus service at a charge and rooms can be reserved from the baggage claim area in Terminal 1.
• Disabled Travelers: Toilets can be found in both terminals. Additional facilities are telephones and wheelchairs on request.
• Lounges: There is a VIP Lounge in Terminal 2 which is open to First Class passengers only. In Terminal 1 there is a Presidents Club. It is available to US Airways Club members only and the opening times are 5.30am to 12.30am everyday.
• Parking: Short-term parking is on level 1 and 2M of the garage. The charge is $2 for the first hour, $4 up to 2 hours, $6 up to 3 hours then $3 for each additional hour with a daily maximum of $36. Long-term parking is on levels 1M, 2M, 3, 4, 5 and 6. It is charged at $3 for the initial hour then $1 for every extra hour with a maximum of $14 daily for a maximum of 30 days.
• Directions & Transportation: By car, McCarran International Airport Las Vegas can be reached via I-15 and I-515. Bus routes 108 and 109 provide transportation to the airport from Las Vegas. From the airport they can be found outside baggage claim and cost $1.25 to the the Strip. Taxis can also be found in this area, outside exits 7-13. From the airport there is an automatic charge of $1.80 and to downtown Las Vegas the cost will be about $20. Shuttle buses can be found in the same area.
