London Stansted Airport (STN) is situated northeast of London in Uttlesford district, Essex. London Stansted Airport is the third busiest airport in the United Kingdom and deals annually with approximately 20 million passengers. It serves the London area and is the third largest in the city out of the five international airports. It acts as a hub for EasyJet, Thomas Cook Airlines and Thomson Airways but mainly for Ryanair which deals with over 100 destinations. London Stansted Airport consists of one terminal building and one runway. Fights are to cities worldwide and popular destinations include Dublin, Alicante, Rome and Edinburgh.

• Eating & Drinking: There are a large number of food outlets available in the airport. Before security there are Costa, Pret A Manger and Bridge Bar and Eating House. After security there are Frankie and Benny’s, Starbucks and Caviar House and Prunier Seafood Bar.
• ATM: ATMs and Bureau de change are located throughout STN, before and after check-in.
• WiFi: Wireless Internet is available throughout the airport at a charge. Internet booths are located before and after security check-in.
• Shopping: Shopping options pre-security are Monsoon, Rolling Luggage, Tie Rack and WHSmith. Post-security includes HMV, Accessorize, Ted Baker and The Watch and Jewellery Store. There is also a World Duty Free.
• Luggage: Carts are located in the reclaim hall and throughout the terminal and a refunded £1, €1 or 25 is needed. For lost luggage contact 01279-663-293.
• Airport Hotels: There are two hotels on airport grounds: Hilton London Stansted (01279-680-800) and Radisson SAS (01279-661-012) which can be reached from the terminal by a covered walkway. Within 2 miles of the airport are other hotels including Stansted Airport Motel (01279-871-777), DeSalis Hotel (01279-817-821) and The Express by Holiday (01279-680-015). Shuttle buses are available to most hotels in the vicinity and hotel reservations can be made in arrivals.
• Disabled Travelers: Throughout the airport there are disabled toilets and elevators to all levels of the terminal. Other facilities include telephones and ramps.
• Lounges: There are No. 1 Stansted Lounges by Gate 49 and by Gate 15, both of which are open 4am to 9pm. The Servisair Lounge is in the terminal building and open 5.15am to 9pm. It is not available for Ryanair passengers.
• Parking: Short-term parking is adjacent to London Stansted Airport. The first half an hour costs $3.80, then $6 for an hour, $12 for up to 2 hours, 9 to 12 hours is $30 and up to a day and following days is $43.20. Long-term parking is about 15 minutes drive away and a free shuttle is available every 15 minutes. Without a reservation the charge is $14.40 daily. The mid-stay option, which is closer to the airport than long-stay, costs $19.70 daily.
• Directions & Transportation: By car, drivers should take the M11 then: if traveling from London take Junction 8a and, from Cambridge, Junction 8. The Stansted Express provides transportation to the airport every 15 minutes from London Liverpool Street and takes 45 minutes. Buses and coaches are in front of the terminal building. To London Liverpool Street the National Express costs $12.90 and by Terravsion, $13.60. A taxi service is provided by Check Cars and can be reserved from international arrivals. The journey to the city center costs approximately $150.
