Maryland is a great location to see a wide range of unique sites and cities. The Baltimore-Washington International Airport is the stateﾒs main entrance for travelers, while Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airports in northern Virginia also offer convenient service to the area. Baltimore is the largest city in the state, along the Chesapeake, where visitors can see the Inner Harbor, a famous aquarium, as well as the vibrant nightlife in the area. The cozy city of Annapolis is the state capital, and has a wonderful seafood tradition and naval history. For history enthusiasts, the Antietam Battlefield was the location of the first battle in the North during the Civil War. Catoctin Mountain Park is the location of Camp David, and represents some of the diverse landscape in the state. Maryland also boasts the Patapsco Valley State Park conveniently located outside of Baltimore, with numerous trails and historic destinations along the way.

Nature enthusiasts will love the state of Maryland, called America in Miniature due to its varied landscapes. The Atlantic Coastal side of the state has lower, sandy islands while the Appalachian Mountains tear through the inner part of the state and continue south through the neighboring states. Pennsylvania is another great location just outside of Maryland to the north, with some fascinating cities like Philadelphia, rich with history. Washington, D.C. is located right next to Maryland, and has many of the countryﾒs most famous landmarks like the White House, Capitol Hill, as well as a world-famous Aquarium and several unique museums.
