Memphis International Airport (MEM) is based southeast of Memphis in Tennessee. It deals with approximately 10 million passengers a year and serves the region of Memphis. Memphis International Airport is used by over 60 airlines and is a hub for Delta Airlines and SeaPort Airlines as well as being a superhub for FedEx which makes it the biggest air cargo handler in the world. It is composed of three terminals and four runways. Flights are to destinations worldwide including major cities such as London, Paris, Tokyo and Frankfurt. Memphis International Airport is known as an aerodropolis which is basically an integrated complex of airport and businesses.

• Eating & Drinking: There are food outlets throughout the airport but the majority can be found in Terminal B. Names include Starbucks, Memphis City Blues Wine Bar, Lenny’s Sub Shop and Vito’s Gourmet Deli Market.
• ATM: ATMs can be found in the Rotunda in Terminal B and the ticket lobby. Bureau de change is in Terminal B.
• WiFi: The Internet can be accessed through data ports which are located throughout MEM.
• Shopping: Most shops are in Terminal B in the Rotunda area. All are open from 7am to 8pm. There is a Hudson News in all the terminals, the passenger connector and the ticket lobby.
• Luggage: Carts are located in the baggage claim areas, concourses and the parking garage at a charge of $2. Each terminal has a baggage claim. For lost property contact the airport police on 901-992-8050.
• Airport Hotels: The hotel on site is the Radisson Memphis Hotel (901-332-2370). There are also a number in close proximity to the airport, including the Days Inn Graceland (901-346-5500), Clarion Hotel Airport/Graceland, (901-332-3500), the Knights Inn (901-345-8554) and the Holiday Inn Select (901-332-1130). There are free shuttle bus services available to and from the majority of hotels close to the airport and telephones are located in the baggage claim area by which to order them.
• Disabled Travelers: Elevators are in all the terminals and toilets are available throughout the airport. Other facilities include parking spaces and wheelchairs on request.
• Lounges: The Delta Sky Club is open from 7am to 8pm and is accessible to members only. It is located next to the security check point of Terminal B.
• Parking: Short-term parking is opposite the terminal buildings in a three-story car park. The initial half an hour is free then the charge is $2 for the first hour followed by $1 every 30 minutes, $14 up to 7 hours, then $1 every hour with a daily maximum of $21. Long-term parking is in the same garage. The first 30 miutes are free then $2 for the first hour, $1 every extra half an hour with a daily maximum of $11.
• Directions & Transportation: If driving, Memphis International Airport can be reached via the I-240 then exit 23B or the I-55 then exit 5A. A bus service is provided by MATA and route 32 provides transportation to the airport. The stop is outside Terminal C. Taxi ranks are located outside Terminal B by the baggage claim area. The charge to go to central Memphis is about $30. For more information there is a Taxi Booth open from 5.30am.
