Mesa Airlines is a regional airline operating various flights from a central base in Phoenix, Arizona. With a range of services under various different names and codeshare agreements, Mesa offers a wide range of destinations and services to customers. Mesa Airlines operates a number of flights for different airlines, largely based from their central hub in Phoenix. US Airways Express, Delta Connection, United Express and go! all operate flights using Mesa. Since being founded in 1980, a series of different airlines and groups have comprised Mesa Airlines. Today, the company serves around 160 destinations. Mesa Airlines prides itself on having one of the best safety records among all air carriers, making it such a popular choice for cooperation with other airlines. In 2010, Mesa filed for bankruptcy to remove itself from leases for planes which were no longer needed for operation. Because the flights are primarily run using different airline names, there is currently no frequent flyer program.
