Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) is based northwest of Milan in Italy and is the largest of the three in the city. Annually, it deals with approximately 17.5 million passengers and it is the main airport in the country for international traffic. Milan Malpensa Airport acts as a hub for a number of airlines, including Air Italy, Blue Panorama Airlines, EasyJet and Air One, and flights are to destinations worldwide. It consists of two terminals: Terminal 1 is split up into three parts, 1C of which is still being constructed, and Terminal 2 is dedicated to low cost carriers, in particular EasyJet.

• Eating & Drinking: Restaurants are situated in both terminals and range from cafes and snack bars, like Gran Café and Milano, to pizzerias, which includes Bar Café Cinque Stelle and Mamma’s Leone Pizza.
• ATM: ATMs can be found in both terminals. Bureau de change is located in Terminal 1, levels 0 to 2, and in the baggage claim area.
• WiFi: Wireless Internet can be found in both terminals of MXP and charges apply.
• Shopping: Duty Free can be found mainly in Terminal 1. Other shops include Tie Rack, Vodaphone and Football Corner in Terminal 1 and Golden Jewellery and the newsagents Edicola and Itineris in Terminal 2.
• Luggage: A refunded €1 is required in order to use the carts. The baggage claim area is located on the ground level. For lost property the contact number is 02-7486-2900.
• Airport Hotels: Two hotels are located on site. First Hotel Malpensa Airport (0331-717-045) is between the terminals for which a free shuttle can be reserved to provide transport to and from MXP. The other, positioned opposite Terminal 1, is the Hotel Villa Malpensa (0331-230-944). There are also numerous hotels in close proximity to the airport. These include Airport Motel (0331-302-111), the Crowne Plaza Milan Malpensa Airport (0331-211-610 and Holiday Inn Express Milan Malpensa Airport (0331-18-330).
• Disabled Travelers: There are elevators and toilets in both terminals. In Terminal 1 the Sala Amica lounge contains specialized toilets.
• Lounges: There are nine lounges located in Terminal 1 and only one in Terminal 2: Club SEA Verdi VIP Business Lounge. Opening times vary, the earliest being 5.30am and the latest closing time 11pm. Business passengers are advised to check with their airline.
• Parking: P1 to P4 are by Terminal 1 and P5 by Terminal 2. Short-term, P5 is cheapest, charging $4.70 hourly, $7.50 up to 2 hours, $15 up to 12 hours and $22.60 daily. P3 charges $5 hourly and $30 daily. P1 charges $5 hourly with a daily maximum of $56.60 and P3 charges $6.30 hourly with a daily maximum of $35. Long-term parking is available in P4: 2 hours is $12.60, 12 hours is $21.40 and then $27.70 per day.
• Directions & Transportation: If driving take the A8 then exit at SS336. The journey takes about an hour. Both the Trenitalia and Malpensa Express services provide transportation to the airport. For the former, a shuttle ride is needed from Gallarate to the airport which costs up to $2. The journey to Gallarate from Milan costs $4.50. The latter links to Terminal 1, the journey takes about 40 minutes and the cost is $13.80 one-way. Taxis are positioned outside arrivals and a trip to Milan costs $113.
