Sangster International Airport (MBJ) is based in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It deals with about 3.5 million passengers per annum and serves the Montego Bay region. Within the Caribbean it is the biggest and busiest airport and is considered the gateway to the area, especially for the north coast of the country. Major airlines serving the airport include WestJet and Air Canada and flights are to destinations worldwide. The airport consists of two terminals, one for domestic flights and the other for international destinations. The airport name derives from Sir Donald Sangster, a Jamaican Prime Minister.

• Eating & Drinking: There are a number of food outlets ranging from cafes and bars to fast food joints and restaurants. Types include traditional Jamaican dishes, hot and cold snacks, pizza and ice-cream.
• ATM: An ATM is by the baggage claim on the ground floor. Bureau de change is located in the immigration and ground transportation halls and in departures.
• WiFi: The Internet can be accessed via the E-island booth in departures.
• Shopping: There is a variety of shopping opportunities in the airport as well as Duty Free. Stores sell gifts, souvenirs, designer brand clothing, cosmetics, books, coffee, jewelry and music.
• Luggage: Carts are available for free in the baggage claim area which is on the ground floor. For lost property there is a service based in arrivals at the security center or contact 971-2726.
• Airport Hotels: There are a number of hotels which have lounges based in the airport: Sandals (979-1063), Couples (940-6377), Ritz Carlton (979-0893), Superclubs (952-1396) and Sunset Resorts (876-971-5665). A free shuttle bus service is available to and from the airport. For assistance making reservations there are a number of information booths located throughout the airport.
• Disabled Travelers: All toilets throughout the airport can be accessed with wheelchairs. An elevator is located in the arrivals corridor.
• Lounges: Three airline lounges are available in Sangster International Airport: Air Jamaica and American Airlines are both for Business Class passengers and are located on the Mezzanine floor, and Club Manteca is on lease to a number of airlines. There is also a VIP Lounge available.
• Parking: Parking lots are located opposite the departures area. There is only one lot which is charged at an hourly rate of $1.20 and a daily rate of $3.50.
• Directions & Transportation: By car, Sangster International Airport can be reached by driving along The Queen’s Drive in a northerly direction, Gloucester Avenue or Sunset Boulevard. Two taxi companies are based at the terminal and provide transportation to the airport: JUTA Taxi (952-0309) and JCA Taxi (979-1822). Reservations can be made at the desk in arrivals.
