Falcone Borsellino Palermo International Airport (PMO) is situated northwest of Palermo in Sicily on the northern coastline of Italy. It is one of the busiest airports in the country and is a major gateway. Palermo Airport deals with approximately 4.5 million passengers a year and serves the region of Palermo. The main airlines serving the airport include Wind Jet, Meridiana Fly and Alitalia. Flight destinations are predominantly within Europe. The airport is composed of one terminal on three levels and two runways. Falcone Borsellino Palermo International Airport was named in remembrance of two anti-Mafia judges, Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, who were assassinated in 1992.

• Eating & Drinking: Food outlets in Palermo Airport are mainly located before check-in on level 1 and in the departures area of level 2. Types include a wine bar, self-service restaurant and pizzeria. There is one bar, Bar My Chef, in arrivals.
• ATM: There are three ATMs: in departures, levels 1 and 2, and in check-in, level 1. A Bureau de Change is located in area A of check-in.
• Shopping: Some shops are located on the first floor but most are on the second. Products include gifts, newspapers, local handicrafts and fashion accessories. Duty Free shopping is available on the second floor.
• Luggage: Carts can be found throughout Palermo Airport. There is a lost and found office situated in arrivals, at the east end, and open daily from 5am to 12am.
• Airport Hotels: There are no hotels located on site. However, there are a few hotels in the vicinity of Palermo Airport. Magaggiari Hotel Resort (918-665-351) and Floria Park Hotel (918-684-222) are based in Cinisi. Azzolini Palm Beach (918-682-034) and B&B Cinisi Vacanze (918-667-290) are located just under 2 miles from the airport and Hotel Azzolini (918-674-755) is approximately 3.6 miles away. A shuttle bus service is available to these hotels.
• Disabled Travelers: Elevators are available to all three floors and adapted toilets are located throughout Palermo Airport.

• Parking: Lots are located to the right of Palermo Airport's terminal building. Parking is charged at $3.90 for the initial hour, $6.50 for up to 2 hours, $9 for up to 3 hours, $11.70 for up to 12 hours, $15.55 up to 18 hours and then $19.40 for a day. A valet parking option is also available to the left side of the terminal building. This charges $6.50 for up to an hour, $11.70 for 12 hours and $25.90 for 24 hours.
• Directions & Transportation: By car, Falcone Borsellino Palermo International Airport can be reached via the A29 motorway. Shuttle buses depart every 20 minutes to the city center and other cities in the region. The Trinacria Express train provides transportation to the airport and a shuttle bus runs every half an hour to and from the central train station from 5am to 12am. The journey takes 55 minutes and costs $6.20. Taxis are located outside of arrivals and the trip to downtown Palermo costs from $43.
