Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is situated east of Phoenix in Arizona and is the busiest and largest in the state. Phoenix Airport deals with approximately 40 million passengers a year, making it the ninth busiest airport within the United States of America. It serves the city of Phoenix and acts as a hub for Ameriflight, Swift Air, Great Lakes Airline and US Airways. It is composed of three terminals and three runways. Terminal 4 was named after Barry M. Goldwater who was a former senator in Arizona. Flights are to destinations within the United States, Canada and Mexico, with British Airways providing a route to London, Heathrow.

• Eating & Drinking: Food outlets can be found in all three of the terminals at Phoenix Airport and range from fast food joints and cafes to restaurants. They include Fox Sports Bar, Martini Bistro, Wendy’s, Starbucks, Sbarros and Round Table Pizza.
• ATM: ATMs can be found located in all three of the terminals at Phoenix Airport. A Bureau de Change is based in Terminal 4.

Most hotels in the area provide a free shuttle bus to and from PHX. In the arrivals area there is a telephone center with direct lines to hotels.
• Disabled Travelers: Elevators and adapted toilets are positioned throughout Phoenix Airport. Other facilities include TDD telephones, parking lots and wheelchairs on request.
• Lounges: In Terminal 2 at Phoenix Airport there is an USO Lounge for military personnel and their families. On offer are computers, TVs, games and refreshments.
• Parking: Short-term parking is charged at $1 per 15 minutes with a daily maximum rate of $25. The cheapest option is the East and West Economy lots with a daily maximum of $9. Phoenix Transit Bus, routes 13, 15 and 40, provide transportation to the airport from Phoenix. There are also shuttle services to and from other cities within Arizona. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the METRO light rail and the airport. Taxi ranks are located outside terminals 2, 3 and 4. There are three companies on offer, Apache, Yellow and Mayflower, and the minimum charge is $15.
