Phuket International Airport (HKT) is based in the northern region of Phuket Island, north of Phuket city center. The airport is the second busiest in Thailand and deals with approximately 3 million passengers per year. It serves the Phuket Province of Thailand and is a major tourist gateway into the country. Phuket Airport acts as a hub for the airline Thai Air Asia. It consists of one runway and two terminals: Terminal 1 is for international flights and Terminal 2 is for domestic destinations. Flights to and from Phuket International Airport are to destinations worldwide, including major cities like Munich, Rome, Perth, Moscow and Bangkok, which is the most popular route.

• Eating & Drinking: Located on the third floor is Thai Airways International Restaurant which serves European as well as Thai dishes at Phuket Airport. There are also a number of snack bars available throughout the airport.
• ATM: ATMs are located throughout Phuket International Airport, in both arrivals and departures. Four Bureau de Change are situated in the arrivals area and one in departures.
• WiFi: Wireless Internet is provided by Boingo for a charge at Phuket Airport.
• Shopping: There are around ten shops available in Phuket International Airport selling souvenirs, gifts, accessories, fashion and entertainment. Duty Free is in international departures and arrivals.
• Luggage: Carts are available for free within the terminal building. For lost property there is a desk in arrivals on the first floor.
• Airport Hotels: There are no hotels on site. The closest one to the airport is Phuket Airport Hotel (083-172-8052) for which there is a free shuttle bus service. There are also other hotels in the vicinity, including Dewa Phuket (076-372-300), Nai Yang Beach Resort (076-372-401) and Indigo Pearl (076-327-006). To make reservations once at the airport there is a Hotel Reservation counter located in the arrivals area.
• Disabled Travelers: Elevators to all levels and adapted toilets are available in Phuket International Airport. Other facilities include parking spaces and TDD telephones.
• Parking: There is one parking lot located within walking distance of Phuket Airport in front of the building. This offers both short and long-term parking and there are 443 parking spaces available. Discounts are available if long-term parking spaces are reserved in advance. • Directions & Transportation: If driving, use the Thep Kasatri road and follow the signs. Buses provide transportation to the airport from Phuket center and leave on an hourly basis between 6.30am and 9.30pm. Tickets can be purchased on the ground floor and cost $2.20 one way. They are based in the parking lot. Taxis are based outside of the terminal building. The fare to downtown Phuket is about $12.
