Porto Airport (OPO) is situated northwest of downtown Porto in Portugal. It deals with about 4.5 million passengers a year and serves the Greater Porto region. The airport acts as a hub for the airlines Ryanair and TAP Portugal. It consists of one terminal building and one runway. Within the country, Porto Airport is the third busiest airport for both passenger numbers and airplane operations. It is also known as Francisco de Sa Carneiro Airport after a Portuguese politician who was killed in a crash involving an airplane headed for Porto Airport. However, it was originally named after Pedras Rubras, a place in the parish where the airport is based.

• Eating & Drinking: There are a few cafes and a couple of restaurants located before security but the majority of food outlets are after check-in. These include cafes, bars and restaurants serving hot and cold snacks and local dishes.
• ATM: ATMs are located in the departures and arrivals areas at Porto Airport. Bureau de Change, through Espaco Cota, is situated before check-in and open 5am to 1am.
• WiFi: There are a number of providers available for wireless Internet access throughout Porto Airportt: Vodafone, HotSpot Portugal, Novaspot, Vex and PT Wi-Fi. There are also Net Points which provide free Internet access.
• Shopping: Most shops are located after security in Porto Airport, including Duty Free, and sell a range of products like books, accessories, fashion, jewelry and entertainment. Famous names include Swarovski, Vodafone, Sunglass Hut and Relay.

• Airport Hotels: There is no hotel located on site. However, there are a number situated in close proximity to Porto Airport. These include Sheraton Porto (220-404-000), Hotel Beta Porto (228-348-660), Le Meridien Park Atlantic Porto (226-072-500) and Grande Hotel do Porto (222-076-690). For further assistance once at the airport there is a Tourism Bureau located in the arrivals area.
• Disabled Travelers: Elevators and adapted toilets are available throughout the airport. Other facilities include ramps, telephones and wheelchairs on request.
• Lounges: There are three lounges available in Porto Airport: one on the ground level in departures, one on the first floor in departures and the Navigator Lounge which is for TAP-Air Portugal passengers only.
• Parking: There are four lots available in Porto Airport. The cheapest is P2 which charges $1.40 for the first hour. P1 costs $1.90 for the initial hour. Both these lots are located closest to the airport. Both P3 and PLD cost $8.25 per day and are situated north of the terminal building. • Directions & Transportation: By car, Porto Airport can be reached via the IP4, the A3, the Porto/Lisbon highway, the IC 1 and IC 24. Aerobus provides transportation to the airport from Porto center every 30 minutes from 7.30am to 8pm. It costs $5 for an all day ticket. There is also the Transporte Resende, route 120, which costs $1.60 one way. The metro Line E stop, outside the terminal building, takes approximately half an hour. Taxis can be found outside the arrivals area and cost from $17 to the city center.
