Puerto Vallarta Airport Mexico (PVR) is situated on the west coast of Mexico, north of Puerto Vallarta, in Mexico and is the main gateway to the area. Puerto Vallarta Airport deals with about 3 million passengers per year, with March being the busiest month, and serves the Puerto Vallarta region. It is used by a number of major airlines, including Continental Express, Delta Connection, Air Canada and American Airlines. Puerto Vallarta Airport is composed of one runway and one terminal building with two concourses, A and B. The airport is also called Licenciado Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport after a former president.

• Eating & Drinking: On the ground floor there are a number of food outlets including bars and cafes. On the first level there is a restaurant, Wings Restaurant and Bar, which is pre-security. After check-in there is a cafeteria and bar.
• ATM: ATMs and Bureau de Change are located before security and in international arrivals.
• Shopping: On the ground level of Puerto Vallarta Airport there are a number of shops before check-in selling books, perfume, tobacco and alcohol. Duty Free shopping is on the first floor after security.
• Luggage: Carts can be found near the baggage claim area which is located on the ground floor. For lost property there is an information desk (132-211-380) located on the ground level.
• Airport Hotels: There is no hotel located on site. However, there are a number close to Puerto Vallarta Airportt. • Disabled Travelers: An elevator is available in Puerto Vallarta Airport as well as adapted toilets. Other facilities include ramps and reserved parking spaces.
• Parking: There is one parking lot which is located opposite the airport building. Both short-term and long-term parking is available in this. The hourly rate is $1.40 which is valid for up to 10 hours. After this, the daily charge is $13.60. By the terminal entrance there is also a zone in which passengers can be dropped-off and picked-up.
• Directions & Transportation: By car, Puerto Vallarta Airport can be reached by the Mexican Highway 200 or the Boulevard Francisco Medina Ascencio. Taxis and combi-vans, the main way to provide transportation to the airport, are based outside the terminal. Both are pre-paid at a desk by the exit after which a driver escorts passengers to their vehicle. By taxi, the charge to central Puerto Vallarta is up to $23 and by van approximately $27. Buses can be found further out by the pedestrian bridge and cost 30¢ to the center.
