Spokane International Airport (GEG) is located 5 miles outside of downtown Spokane in the state of Washington. It is the second largest airport in the state, and it served over 3 million passengers in 2009. Spokane International serves the areas of eastern Washington, along with Spokane, and northern Idaho. Spokane Airport serves the airline carriers of Delta, SkyWest, United Airlines, SouthWest Airlines, and US Airways. The airport has a Main Terminal with three different concourses, A, B, and C. Spokane International was designated as the municipal airport of the city in 1946 and earned its name in 1960.
