V.C. Bird International Airport (ANU) is on the island of Antigua. Bird International has one terminal, and it serves the carriers of Air Canada, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, and Delta. The airport was originally operated by the U.S. Army Air Force, and held the name Coolidge International Airport until it was later renamed to honor Sir Vere Cornwall Bird, who was the first prime minister of Antigua and Barbuda.
