Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) is a public airport in Onondaga County, and one of the leading airports in upstate New York. Passenger traffic has increased since 2001, when JetBlue began flying low-cost services to and from Syracuse International Airport. Syracuse International Airport handled just over 2 million passengers in 2009. Jet Blue operated flights from Terminal A, along with US Airways, while other airlines, including American, Continental and Delta, use Terminal B. The two terminals are integrated into a single building. Leading destinations are Chicago and the New York City airports. The only international destination currently served from Syracuse Airport is Toronto Pearson.

• Eating & Drinking: Franchises at Syracuse Airport include Sbarro and Au Bon Pain. Restaurants, cafés and bars can be found before and after security in both terminals.
• ATM: ATMs are all located before security, with one (Key Bank) across from the car rental desks, and others (Partners and Trust Bank) outside each security checkpoint. There is no bureau de change at Syracuse airport.
• WiFi: Free WiFi internet access is provided throughout the airport. If the service page does not show up immediately upon launching your browser, set your SSID to hancock_intl_airport.
• Shopping: Shopping is limited to pre-security shops selling gifts and travel essentials. There is no Duty Free.
• Luggage: Baggage claim is located in each terminal. Enquiries relating to lost property are handled by the Syracuse Police Department at their airport station, 315-454-3263 ext. 276.
• Airport Hotels: The Best Western-Syracuse Airport (315-455-6840) is located on-site, on the far side of the open parking lot. Other nearby hotels include Candlewood Suites Extended Stay Hotel Syracuse Airport (315-454-8999), Holiday Inn Express Hotel Syracuse Airport (315-454-0999), Comfort Inn and Suites (315-457-4000), Ramada (315-457-8670). Courtesy phones are available in the baggage claim areas, and many hotels provide a shuttle service.
• Disabled Travelers: The airport's two main levels are connected by elevators to provide step-free access to the gates. Travelers are advised to contact their airline in order to ensure easy boarding.
• Lounges: There are no airline lounges at Syracuse International Airport. Conference rooms can be booked through the airport authority.
• Parking: Between them, the parking garage and open lot provide just short of 4,000 spaces. Both are situated within easy walking distance of the terminal building. Rates in the garage begin at $1.75 for the first hour, rising to a daily maximum of $10. Rates in the open lot, located just behind the garage, start at $1.50, with $8 the maximum per 24-hour period.
• Directions & Transportation: Syracuse International Airport is located three miles from the intersection of I-81 and I-90, which connect it to the northeastern United States and the adjacent areas of Canada. I-81 also connects the airport to downtown Syracuse. Transportation via taxi to and from the airport is provided exclusively by Century Taxi and Transportation (315-455-5151), which operates cabs and vans. Fares must be prepaid at dispatch counters in the baggage claim areas, open 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Any other transport services must be arranged in advance by the traveler.
