Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) is the main international entry point to Israel, and the country's largest and busiest airport. Named in honor of Israel's first prime minister, Ben Gurion International Airport is the home of Israel's flag carrier, El Al, as well as Israir Airlines, Arkia Israel Airlines and Sun d'Or International Airlines. El Al is by far the largest single carrier at Ben Gurion Airport, accounting for 40% of flights, leaving the next largest carrier, Lufthansa, at 4%. Two terminals, 1 and 3, are currently operational, with most international flights handled by Terminal 3. In 2008, Ben Gurion International Airport handled over 11.5 million passengers.

• Eating & Drinking: Restaurants and cafés can be found in all parts of the airport, including McDonald's as well as local selections.
• ATM: Exchange offices and ATMs can be found throughout the airport.
• WiFi: Free WiFi internet access is offered throughout the terminals.
• Shopping: Duty Free shops are located after security in both terminals. A shopping center in Terminal 3 offers a wide variety of gifts, jewelry, watches, clothing and electronics.
• Luggage: Baggage trolleys are provided at the entrances to the terminals for outbound passengers, and after immigration, in the baggage claim areas, for incoming passengers. A left-luggage and lost property office is located in the western short-term car park and is open 24 hours a day (+972 (0) 3 975 4436), in addition to service counters located in the arrivals hall.
• Airport Hotels: There are no airport hotels at Ben Gurion International Airport. A wide range of hotels can be found in Tel Aviv and the surrounding towns. Among the closest are: Holiday Inn Ashkelon (0800 181 6068), Hotel Mercure Suites Bat Yam (+972 (0) 3 555 0555) and Best Western Kfar Maccabiah (+972 (0) 3 574 4678).
• Disabled Travelers: Facilities at the airport include accessible telephones and toilets, raised pedestrian crossings, ramps and lifts. Disabled parking is also available.
• Lounges: The King David Lounge is open to El Al passengers, whilst business class travelers with other airlines have access to lounges such as the 24-hour Jet Set Club Lounge.
• Parking: Please note that all incoming vehicles are subject to being searched. Short-term garages are located in front of each terminal, and charge $3 for the first hour, and $1 for each subsequent hour, to a maximum of $12 for 24 hours, which is the maximum stay permitted. Long-term lots are connected to the terminals by shuttle buses and charge $5 for uncovered spaces - some covered spaces are available at $8 (all prices are approximate conversions).
• Directions & Transportation: The airport is located near Highway 1, which connects Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and Highway 40. It is well signposted. The Ben Gurion Airport Railway Station is located below Terminal 3. Israel Railways connects the airport to Tel Aviv Savidor Central Railway Station, with trains running daily from 3 a.m. to midnight (except Shabbat and Jewish holidays). A single fare to Tel Aviv costs under $4. Various local and inter-city bus services provide transportation to and from the airport. Important lines are #475 to Tel Aviv Central bus Station, and #222, which stops at North Tel Aviv railway station and the hotels along Hayarkon Street. Taxicabs can be found outside the arrivals hall, with fares to downtown Tel Aviv averaging $20. Shared Taxi vans (monit sherut, in Hebrew) are also popular and serve various destinations in the surrounding cities, including Jerusalem.
