Narita International Airport (NRT) is Japan's busiest international airport, and the country's second-busiest in terms of passenger traffic. Serving the Greater Tokyo Area, it is situated some 35 miles from the center of the capital. Narita International Airport is the main hub of Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, with Delta Air Lines and United Airlines also maintaining a strong presence. Most of the world's leading airlines connect Tokyo Narita to all parts of the world, with domestic connections to many Japanese destinations. Narita International Airport handles over 35 million passengers annually, in two terminals, which are linked by shuttle buses.

• ATM: Banks, ATMs and currency exchange offices can be found throughout the airport.
• WiFi: WiFi internet access is available throughout the airport, with a day pass costing ¥500. There are also desks providing free WiFi in Terminal 1, and free internet cafés in both terminals.
• Shopping: A large selection of Duty Free shops and international brand boutiques can be found after security in both terminals.
• Luggage: Baggage carts are available, free of charge, throughout the airport. Each terminal also offers luggage storage services and lockers. Enquiries concerning lost property should be addressed to the appropriate airline or to the airport service desks in each terminal.
• Airport Hotels: There are no on-site airport hotels at Narita International Airport. Reservation desks are located in Terminal 1 arrivals. • Disabled Travelers: All parts of the airport, including the shuttles and the railway stations, are wheelchair accessible. Accessible restrooms are located throughout the airport, and disabled parking at discounted rates is available in all garages.
• Lounges: A business center in Terminal 1 (0476 300 035) offers meeting and telecommunication services. Airlines operating lounges for their premium class customers include: Virgin Atlantic, Air France, ANA, Korean Air, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines (Terminal 1) and American Airlines, Qantas, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Japan Airlines (Terminal 2).
• Parking: Each terminal is directly linked to a parking garage. P1 (Terminal 1) charges ¥500 for the first hour, up to a daily maximum of ¥2,500 for the first and ¥2,000 for each subsequent day. P5 is a cheaper option at Terminal 1, with a daily maximum of ¥1,500. Terminal 2 parking consists of P2 and P3. P2 charges ¥500 for the first hour, up to a daily maximum of ¥2,500 for the first and ¥2,000 for each subsequent day. P3 charges ¥500 for the first hour, up to a daily maximum of ¥2,500 for the first and ¥2,000 for each subsequent day. P5 is a cheaper option at Terminal 1, with a daily maximum of ¥200 per 30 minutes up to a daily maximum of ¥1,500. The maximum stay at all garages is 20 days, unless prior arrangements are made.
• Directions & Transportation: Narita International Airport is accessible by car from the Shin-Kuko Expressway, which is connected to the Higashi-Kanto Expressway, linking it to Tokyo and other cities. Driving time to Tokyo is at least an hour, and usually more, depending on traffic. Each terminal has its own railway station. Several train services operate, the fastest being the Narita Rapid Railway to central Tokyo. All seating is reserved. Journey time is approximately 40 minutes. The Narita Express takes about 1 hour (reservations required), while Kaisoku Airport Narita and local trains are cheaper alternatives, but take 90 minutes or longer to reach Tokyo station. Tickets for all services can be bought from counters and vending machines in the arrivals hall. Several bus services provide transportation to the airport from Tokyo, and overnight to Kyoto and Osaka. There are also services to US military bases. Fixed rate taxi services operate to Tokyo, Kawasaki and Yokohama, with fares ranging from ¥14,000-28,000.
