Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), also known as Lester B. Pearson International Airport or Toronto Pearson, is Canada's largest and busiest airport. Toronto Pearson serves the area around Toronto known as the Golden Horseshoe, which accounts for over a quarter of Canada's population. Named after Canadian prime minister and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Lester B. Pearson, the airport is the home base of Air Canada and a hub for its Star Alliance partners, as well as for a number of regional airlines. Some 150 destinations are currently served by direct flights from Toronto Pearson, which handles over 30 million passengers annually. The two terminals, 1 and 3 (2 having been closed in 2007), are linked by a railway operating at all times.

• Eating & Drinking: Food courts and other restaurants, cafés and bars are located past security in both terminals, catering to a wide range of tastes. Cafés and snack bars can also be found in the public areas.

Other nearby hotels include: Best Western Travel Inn Toronto Airport (416-620-1234), Quality Hotel & Suites Toronto Airport East (416-240-9090), Toronto Airport Marriott (416-674-9400), and Hilton Toronto Airport (905-677-9900). • Disabled Travelers: Disabled parking is provided in all garages, and the LINK train is accessible to wheelchair users. The terminals themselves feature TTY telephones, elevators, ramps and disabled toilets.
• Lounges: Several airlines operate lounges at Toronto Pearson Airport, which are also open to alliance members. These are: Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge (Star Alliance - three lounges in Terminal 1), American Airlines Admirals Club, British Airways The Galleries Club & First (OneWorld), KLM Crown (Skyteam - all in Terminal 3). There are also several Plaza Premium Pay-In Lounges which are open to all passengers, in both terminals.
• Parking: Each terminal offers a number of parking options, including Daily Park (short-term) and Value Park (long term). Daily Park rates start at $3 for 20 minutes, rising to a daily maximum of $28 or $140 per week. The Value Park lot and garage are connected to the terminals by the LINK train. Its daily maximum is $15, rising to $70 per week.
• Directions & Transportation: Highway 401 is the main link between the city of Toronto and the airport, with Highway 409 and 427 also providing access. Driving time is about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Several bus services provide transportation to the airport from Toronto and the surrounding region. The Toronto Transit Commission provides public bus services (Line 192) to and from the Kipling Subway Station, from where connections throughout Toronto are available ($3 single fare).
