Tyrolean Airlines is a fully owned subsidiary of the Austrian Airlines group and offers flights to a huge range of locations. With around 75 destinations, it is one of the biggest airlines in Austria. The airline was founded in Innsbruck in 1980, when it was known as Austrian Arrows. Today, the destination network serves a range of airports and cities across the world. The marketing and commercial aspects of the business are controlled centrally by the Austrian Airlines Group. The airline has benefited from the growth in the regional airline industry and together with partners offers flights around Austria, Europe and abroad including North American destinations such as New York, Washington and Toronto. Each year, over 4 million passengers are carried by the airline on various routes based around the central hub in Vienna. As a member of the Star Alliance, customers of the airline benefit from an extensive flight plan and partnerships with other airlines. Tyrolean Airlines is part of the Lufthansa frequent flyer program Miles & More, enabling customers to earn points on various flights with different airlines to redeem later against upgrades, hotel rooms or other benefits.
