Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is based south of Vancouver in Canada. Annually, the airport deals with approximately 16 million passengers to and from the Vancouver region. The airport acts as a focus city for WestJet and as a hub for the airlines Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz and Air Transat. Vancouver Airport consists of four runways and three terminal buildings: domestic, international and US. Within the country it is currently the second busiest airport and is a major gateway between Canada and Asia. Flights are to destinations within Canada, the United States of America, Mexico, the Caribbean, Asia and Europe.

• Eating & Drinking: Cafes, bars, fast food joints and restaurants can be found in all terminals, before and after security check-in. Names include Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Subway, Burger King, A&W, Voyages Bar and Jugo Juice.
• ATM: Bureau de change and ATMs are located in all terminals, before and after security check-in. The Royal Bank of Canada is based in domestic arrivals on floor 2 before check-in.
• WiFi: Free wireless Internet is available throughout the terminals of Vancouver Airport.
• Shopping: Shops, including those selling fashion, gifts, entertainment and Duty Free, are located in all terminals. Branches include Hudson News, Relay, Sunglass Hut, Virgin Books and Entertainment, Basics and Kids Works.
• Luggage: Carts are available for free in the baggage claim areas on the lower level. For lost property there is a Customer Service Counter in international departures on level 3 or call 604-276-6104.
• Airport Hotels: Fairmont Vancouver Airport (604-207-5200) is located on level 3 above the US Terminal. Other hotels based close to the airport include Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport (604-821-1818), Hilton Vancouver Airport (604-273-6336), Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel and Marina (604-278-124) and Hampton Inn Vancouver Airport (604-232-5505). Free shuttles run to and from the airport. There is also a free, direct line to the airports, telephones for which are located in the arrivals areas of the domestic and international terminals.
• Disabled Travelers: Elevators and adapted toilets are located throughout the airport. Other facilities include TDD telephones, ramps and reserved parking spaces.
• Lounges: A Plaza Premium Lounge is located after check-in in both the Domestic Terminal between piers A and B (604-276-0082) and in the International Terminal by Gate D53 (604-276-6688). Both are open to all passengers.
• Parking: Both short-term and long-term parking are available at Vancouver International Airport. Short-term parking is located in Parkade levels P1, P2 and P3. All charge $4.13 for the first half an hour and $8.26 for the first hour. P1 is only available for hourly parking. P2 then charges $29.40 daily and $184.64 weekly and P3 costs $27.21 daily and $171.04 weekly. P1 and P2 are both covered lots. The long-term parking lot rates are $4.13 for the initial hour, $15.31 daily and $99.12 weekly.
• Directions & Transportation: If driving from Vancouver, the airport can be reached by taking Arthur Laing Bridge then Highway 99. Translink bus service provide transportation to the airport from Vancouver and surrounding cities. Canada Line is based between the international and domestic terminals and can be reached by elevator from arrival and departure areas. The journey to Richmond takes 18 minutes and to Vancouver, 26 minutes. Taxis are based outside of arrivals. To central Vancouver the charge is between $27 and $31 and they run 24 hours a day.
