Varna Airport (VAR) is based west of Varna in Bulgaria. The airport deals with just over 1.2 million passengers a year and serves the region of the Black Sea coast. It is served by more than ten airlines including Air Berlin, Wizz Air, British Airways and Bulgaria Air. The airport consists of one runway and five terminals, Terminal 5 of which is based a shuttle ride away from the others. Flights from Varna Airport are to around 70 different cities within 25 countries and the busiest time is during the summer months when most tourists visit the area.

• Eating & Drinking: Cafes are available before and after check-in and serve hot and cold snacks and drinks. Tangerine Dream, a café selling hot and cold snacks and drinks, is located on the first floor. Another café is located on the second floor.
• ATM: ATMs are located in terminals 2 and 4. Bureau de change are based in terminals 3 and 4.
• WiFi: Wireless Internet is available for a charge at certain areas within Varna Airport.
• Shopping: Duty Free and Travel Value shops are located in terminals 2, 3 and 4, both before and after check-in. These sell fashion items, accessories, cosmetics, alcohol and travel essentials.
• Luggage: Free carts are available throughout the airport. Baggage claim is located on the ground level. For lost property there is an office in Terminal 4 open 24 hours a day or call 359-52-573-423.
• Airport Hotels: There is no hotel located on site. However, there are a number in close proximity to the airport. These include Hotel Divesta (526-847-47), Splendid Hotel (296-222-13) and Aqua Hotel (295-828-64) which are approximately 4.5 miles away. Best Western Prima Hotel (526-098-09) and Best Western Park Hotel (523-897-89) are within a 6.5 mile radius of the airport. A free shuttle bus service is available to and from the airport.
• Disabled Travelers: There are ramps and adapted toilets available throughout Varna Airport. Other facilities include parking spaces, aircraft lifts and wheelchairs on request.
• Lounges: A VIP Lounge and Business Lounge are located in the departure areas of Terminal 1. The Business Lounge is open to Business Class passengers and Priority Pass card and Angel kard holders.
• Parking: There is one parking lot at the airport which is based by Terminal 1. The first 10 minutes are free then the charge is $1.30 every hour for up to 7 hours followed by $10 from 7 to 12 hours, $12 up to 24 hours, $16 up to 24 hours, $20.05 for 3 days and $29.40 up to a week. • Directions & Transportation: By car, Varna Airport can be reached by the A2 Highway and the E20. Buses provide transportation to the airport and stop outside Terminal 1. Tickets vary from 67¢ to $2, depending on the journey length, and the services run from 5.45am to 11pm every 15 minutes. Taxi ranks are located outside the departures area of Terminal 1. The journey to the city center takes about 15 minutes and costs from $4 to $10.
