Vienna International Airport (VIE) is located southeast of Vienna in Austria. The airport deals with approximately 18 million passengers per year and serves the region of Vienna. VIE acts as a hub for the airlines Austrian Airlines and Niki. It consists of two main terminals, a provisional terminal and two runways. Within the country, Vienna Airport is both the biggest and busiest airport. It is also known as Schwechat after the closest town. Flights from Vienna are to destinations worldwide and this includes major cities such as London, Washington, Toronto and Cairo.

• Eating & Drinking: Food outlets are located before and after check-in and range from cafes, bars, fast food joints and restaurants. These include McDonald’s and Mc Café, Starbucks, Pizza and Pasta, Coffeeshop Company and Dubliner Pub.
• ATM: ATMs and Bureau de change are located throughout the airport. There are branches of the Erste Bank located in the departures area.
• WiFi: Free wireless Internet is accessible throughout Vienna Airport.
• Shopping: Shops are located before and after security. Duty Free is based after security check-in by the gates B, C and D. Famous names include Timberland, Swarovski, Versace, Hugo Boss and Burberry.

• Airport Hotels: Located in front of the airport building is the Astron Hotel and Convention Center Vienna Airport (01-701-510). • Disabled Travelers: Elevators and adapted toilets are located throughout the airport. Other facilities include ramps, TDD telephones and wheelchairs on request.
• Lounges: Ten lounges are available. The JET Lounge, located by the shopping area, is open 6am to 9pm. The AIR Lounge, open 6am to 8pm, is located by the D gates after check-in. Both are open to card holders or at a cost of $31.70.
• Parking: There are two multi-storey parking lots which charge $4.20 per hour. PC is situated furthest from the airport and charges $4 per hour. K1 and K3, located closest to the terminals by the arrivals area, are both available for short-term parking and the rate is $4.60 an hour. Passengers can pay for their parking when leaving the lot by credit card or cash. Once a ticket is obtained, passengers have 20 minutes to leave the parking lot.
• Directions & Transportation: By car, Vienna Airport can be reached via the A4 Airport Motorway or the B9 road. Bus services provide transportation to the airport from Vienna with a journey time of 20 minutes. The service is through Vienna Airport Lines. A rail service is provided by City Airport Train which leaves from the City Air Terminal. The journey time to Vienna takes 16 minutes. There is also an overground train, the S-Bahn, which takes 24 minutes and costs $4.75. Taxi ranks are outside arrivals.
