Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW) is located southwest of Warsaw, Poland in the Okęcie district. Warsaw Airport deals with just over 8 million passengers per year and serves the region of Warsaw. It acts as a hub for nine airlines including Eurocypria Airlines, Wizz Air and Air Italy Polska. The airport is composed of two runways and two terminals: Terminal 1, which deals mainly with low-cost airlines, and Terminal 2. Within Poland it handles around 50% of air passenger traffic, making it the busiest airport in the country. The airport was originally called Okęcie airport but was renamed after Frederic Chopin, a famous Polish composer and native of Warsaw.

• Eating & Drinking: Food outlets are located before and after the security check-in and range from cafes, bars, fast food joints and restaurants serving traditional Polish dishes. The Flying Bistro and Pub Business Shark are open 24 hours a day and located in departures before check-in.
• ATM: ATMs are based in the public area of both arrivals and departures. There are four Bureau de change located in arrivals and departures before and after check-in. The latest closing time is 11pm.
• WiFi: Wireless Internet is available throughout the airport.
• Shopping: Shops are located before and after security and sell products including fashion, accessories, entertainment and cosmetics. Famous branches include Relay, ESPIRIT and Virgin. Duty Free is located after security check-in.

• Airport Hotels: Located in the departures area is the Falcon Transit Hotel (022-650-4891). It consists of eights rooms and is open 24 hours a day. Courtyard by Marriott (022-650-0100) is situated next to the passenger terminal. Other hotels in close proximity to the airport include the Airport Hotel Okęcie (022-456-8000), Novotel Hotel (022-575-6000) and Gromada Hotel (022-576-4600). Future plans are to build a five star hotel by 2012. There is a hotel information desk in the arrivals area.
• Disabled Travelers: Elevators are located in Terminal 1 and adapted toilets are also available. Wheelchairs can be procured on request.
• Lounges: There are three Executive lounges available: the Bolero Lounge in the non-Schengen area and the Ballada and Preludium lounges in the Schengen area. The VIP Lounge in the arrivals area of Terminal 2 must be reserved at least 4 hours in advance.
• Parking: Short-term parking is available in P1 and P2, opposite WAW, and P3, left of the airport. P1 and P2 charge $2.63 hourly up to 3 hours then $3.28 hourly with a $24.30 daily maximum. P3 charges $1.97 hourly up to 4 hours then $3.28 hourly with a $22.33 daily maximum. Long-term parking, P4, is next to P3. This costs $3.28 hourly with a daily maximum of $16.42 then $9.85 daily up to three days followed by $4.93 daily up to a week.
• Directions & Transportation: By car, Warsaw Airport can be reached by Zwirki í Wigury Avenue from Warsaw. There are four bus lines which provide transportation to the airport: 148, 175, 188 and the night bus, N32. Services are available 24 hours a day and the journey takes approximately half an hour. There are three taxi companies which run from the airport: Merc Taxi, MPT Radio Taxi and Sawa Taxi. Passengers are advised to use these companies only.
